"Keeping Christ the Center"
Faith Education does not end with the Sacrament of Confirmation. Our parish Youth Ministry Program serves youth in grades 9- 12. The shared ministry model empowers our youth to get involved, make decisions about activities and topics as well as grow in their faith. Youth Group meeting or gatherings include prayer, instruction, discussion, networking, opportunities for faith Education and community building. Did we say…food? Our youth are well fed, in body, mind and soul.
Students hail from a number of high schools throughout Washington County as well as Catholic high schools located outside our county. To say that Youth Group is fun would not be enough. It provides opportunities to serve, learn and grow as well as lead.
Our parish encourages youth to get involved in all areas of leadership. Many of our members volunteer as teacher and aides in our TCE Program as well as serves as captains of their high school sports teams, work, and serve as presidents of school and community organizations while keeping academics and schoolwork a priority.
Our IC Youth Group believes in “Keeping Christ the Center” of all that we do… and everything that we are! Youth gatherings are generally held on Sundays with special events scheduled throughout the year. Check out our website at http://www.ICLights.info for more inEducation.
