Ministry to the Elderly, Sick and Homebound (MESH)

MESH provides regular Communion service to the Catholic patients at the Washington Hospital and major nursing homes. Spiritual and emotional support (companionship, conversation, reading) is provided to our homebound parishioners and those in extended care facilities. Other services are provided as requested.

No special requirement is needed other than a caring personality and a loving heart. Health care professionals are a vital part of this ministry and are warmly welcomed.

We encourage parishioners to notify us when they or a member of their family require our services, especially when being discharged from the hospital or transferred to an extended care facility.
