Confirmation

In this sacrament, by the laying on of hands and the anointing with Sacred Chrism, a baptized person receives the fullness of the Holy Spirit and is strengthened to witness the faith.

Adults can receive this sacrament at the Easter Vigil; students in the ninth grade receive this sacrament when the Bishop visits our community – usually in the fall.

Candidates need to have been fully instructed prior to receiving the fullness of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in Confirmation.
