Liturgical Ministries
The Immaculate Conception Church Choir musically enhances the Liturgy at 10:30 AM Mass and other special liturgical events throughout the year except summer. Their weekly 10:30 Mass is broadcast to the greater Washington area on WJPA radio 95.3 FM.
The choir also performs at least one concert per year with orchestra. These concerts have included Mozart's Requiem, Handel's Messiah, Vivaldi's Gloria, and Rutter's Magnificat and Requiem. For many of these, they have joined forces with the Wheeling Jesuit Singers, Tsar Lazar Choir of Pittsburgh, California University of Pennsylvania Choir, and various church choirs.
The choir recently had the honor of singing for His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI during their pilgrimage to Italy.
The choir meets for practice every Thursday evening from 7:30-9:30 PM in the Choir Room of the Middle School.
