Liturgy of the Word for Children

The Liturgy of the Word for Children is for young children so they may better hear and understand the Sunday Scripture Readings.

At the 9:00 AM and 12:15 PM Sunday Masses, children ages 4 years old through third grade are dismissed from the Sunday assembly, with a catechist and helpers to the Church Hall. There they hear the Sunday Scripture Readings on their own level.

The catechists are fully initiated persons who have a desire to share the Sunday Scripture with small children. The helpers are any Catholic young persons of high school age or older.
