Bereavement Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to show that as a church family we grieve with the families in the loss of their loved ones, and to let the living know that we are praying for the families and for their deceased loved one. Our motto is “so no one grieves alone”.

Our members send an initial sympathy card to the family of the deceased. Close to the first anniversary of the loved one’s death, a “thinking of you” card is sent.

Anyone who is at least 18 years old and is willing to send cards to bereaved families in our parish is welcome to become a member. A workshop on grief is also given by Catholic Charities to those wishing to join.
